Build a Simple Warehouse at Home with a Narrow Land

Not all houses have a large area to store unused items. But don't worry, even with limited land, you can still build a small warehouse that is functional and neat.

Here are tips for building a warehouse at home even though the land is narrow:

1. Determine a Strategic Location
Choose an area that is rarely used, such as the back corner of the house, under the stairs, or next to the carport. Make sure it does not interfere with main activities and remains easily accessible when needed.

2. Use Lightweight and Durable Frame Materials
For the main structure, you can use hollow iron or CNP iron which is strong but does not take up much space. This metal frame is also resistant to termites and moisture—very suitable for storage areas.

3. Roof and Walls from Corrugated Zinc or Galvalum Plate
Corrugated zinc is lightweight and easy to install, while galvalum plate provides extra protection against heat and rain. Choose according to your needs and budget.

4. Maximize Vertical Storage
Make shelves from perforated plates or nako iron to store items vertically. This will save a lot of space and still make your warehouse look neat.

5. Circulation and Security
Install ventilation so that the warehouse is not stuffy and damp. Don't forget to use a safe lock to keep important items safe.
