Therefore, before you start building a concrete roof, there are several important things you need to pay attention to.

1. The Supporting Structure Must Be Strong and Stable
Before casting begins, make sure the supporting structure (formwork and scaffolding) has been installed correctly and is able to withstand the load of wet concrete. Failure of the supporting system can cause the roof to bend or even collapse.

2. Use Quality Bondek and Wiremesh
For neat and strong roof results, consider using bondek as the base of the concrete mold. In addition to speeding up the work, bondek also reduces the need for wooden formwork. Don't forget to combine it with wiremesh according to the size needed to strengthen the reinforcement and prevent hairline cracks in the concrete roof.

3. Pay Attention to the Composition and Quality of Concrete
Make sure the concrete mixture meets technical standards (usually K-225 to K-300 quality for house roofs). The ratio of cement, sand, gravel, and water must be right so that the concrete hardens perfectly without shrinking excessively.

4. The Casting Process Must Be Done in One Go
Casting should be done in one go without a long break so that the joints between the concrete remain strong. If the casting is interrupted, a "cold joint" will appear which has the potential to become a weak point in the structure.

5. Perform Maintenance After Casting
Concrete maintenance (curing) is very important so that the concrete does not dry out quickly and crack. Water the surface periodically or cover it with a wet sack for at least the first 7 days after casting.
