info@intisumberbajasakti.comThe rainy season does not mean that construction projects have to stop completely. But... there are special strategies to keep work safe, neat, and not wasted because of the weather! Let's take a look at the tips:
1. Pay attention to the schedule and weather
Before starting work, check the daily weather forecast. If the sky starts to get cloudy, postpone work that is vulnerable to water such as casting or plastering. It's better to reschedule than to damage the results!
2. Protect Building Materials
Materials such as cement, iron, and paint must be stored in a dry and closed place. Use tarpaulins, high shelves, or emergency warehouses so they don't get wet and damaged.
3. Prioritize Good Drainage
Stagnant water can slow down work and even damage structures. Make sure there are temporary water channels or small ditches in the work area so that rainwater can flow out immediately.
4. Use Weather-Resistant Materials
Use products such as galvanized bondek, anti-leak paint, and instant concrete that have better resistance to water and moisture. This can help reduce the risk of damage during unpredictable weather.
5. Safety is Still Number One
Wet surfaces increase the risk of slipping. Make sure all workers wear anti-slip safety shoes and be careful especially in high or slippery areas.
NOTE!
The rainy season is not an obstacle as long as the planning is thorough. In fact, this is the moment to test the readiness of the project and construction team!
